Client Corner
At the Octagon family of companies, we take our clients’ needs seriously, very seriously!  We recognize that our reputation in the marketplace is earned one client at a time. Our ultimate goal is to be viewed by our customers as the pre-eminent provider of recruitment and staffing services across a spectrum of service lines. We want to be the firm that client’s turn to when they want to receive world-class attention to their recruiting needs. We hope to have the opportunity to work with you and let you experience a level of recruiting service that you probably never knew existed.

In the “Client Corner” our goal is to provide meaningful information to help companies in dealing with external recruiting firms in the most effective way to serve their individual needs. As such, we have compiled several insightful questions that are listed below. The list is not intended to be all inclusive, but rather, is presented to allow a prospective client several important factors to consider when deciding which recruiting firms they want to establish new relationships with. It further allows hiring managers the opportunity to evaluate the firms they currently work with to determine if they are truly satisfied with the service they have been receiving. We believe that asking these questions at the inception of establishing a relationship with a new firm and as a tool to benchmark current vendors will help both our current and prospective clients manage the challenging area of dealing successfully and efficiently with recruiting firms.

***WE AT THE OCTAGON FAMILY OF COMPANIES  PRIDE OURSELVES ON OUR CONSISTENT, STRAIGHTFORWARD, PROFESSIONAL APPROACH TO SOLVING OUR CLIENTS RECRUITMENT AND STAFFING NEEDS. Are you viewed as a high priority client whose calls and e-mails are responded to quickly and needs taken very seriously or do you “fall in the bucket” with all the other clients the firm is working with?

Is the position you are looking to fill as important to the recruiting firm as it is to you?

Does the recruiting firm feel the “pressure” that you feel as a hiring manager to work feverishly to identify a qualified and interested candidate in a timely fashion?

Does the recruiting firm truly work to “partner” with you, becoming an extension of your own in-house efforts, or are you and your firm just viewed as another job order with potential revenue attached to filling a position?

Does the recruiting firm take the time to really understand your organization, its unique culture, and the specific requirements of the position you are looking to fill or do they leave it at “Title…Salary…Location…”?

Do you feel comfortable that by the time the recruiting firm makes its first recruiting call to a prospective candidate that the firm is knowledgeable about your organization and the position you have asked them to assist in filling? Are they are a good third party extension of your own organization, presenting your firm and your open position in the same light that you would portray your organization in?
